Bio: I have been jumping for 6 years. I started jump rope when my friend asked me to do a jump rope class with her. It sounded fun. So i decided to join the class with her. My highest achievement in jump rope was competing to try to make the USA Jump Rope WORLD team, representing my country at the FISAC World Championships. I jump rope because it is a very enjoyable sport and I get to meet people from all over the world and get to travel all over the world. My favorite thing about jump rope is learning different skills from people from around the world. Jump rope has positively affected me by teaching me how show good sportsmanship to others and how to use my hands and feet more efficiently. My future goal in jump rope is to become a professional jump roper and travel all over the world.

ST. PETERSBURG – More than 40 youth participated in this past Saturday’s jump rope workshop held at the Thomas “Jet” Jackson Recreation Center. Veteran jump rope coach, Yvonne Moody, and her team the Hurricane Jumpers came from Miami to teach the basics: speed, power and freestyle.
